Counselling in Ipswich
At Ipswich City Hypnosis I offer counselling in a confidential, non-judgemental and respectful way and work towards finding the best way to resolve your problems and create a positive change in your life. Often life deals us hard blows and we hide, get angry or become afraid of our own feelings. We are all struggling in our own way, and there is no right or wrong way to do it. I try to view the curve balls in life as challenges and opportunities rather than as threats to be feared.
Just as too much alcohol, nicotine or rich foods make out bodies sluggish, our minds get clogged up too. The limitations, stress, and unjustified beliefs we carry around as emotional garbage can ruin our lives. Here’s how to dump yours until you get the chance to see me.
- Acknowledge emotional black spots
There are certain feelings we always push to the back of our minds – especially fear, whether it’s a fear of change or a fear of heights. If fear is stopping you from doing all the things you’d like to do — acknowledge that it is there. It may be painful but at least it’s out in the open. Then and only then, you can work our ways of overcoming that fear.
- Break the pattern
When something feels comfortable then you will do it over and over again. Somethings the reason you are doing this- is that it feels familiar, not because it’s right for you. Think about why you’ve made certain choices and whether they were good ones. Career and relationships mistakes are almost always made when you choose the sort of option you think you ought to, rather than the one you want to.
- Give yourself a break
You can’t make everyone in your life happy all the time. And it’s okay to make mistakes now and then.
I specialise in the following:
Women’s Issues, PTSD, Anxiety, Relationships, Trauma, Grief & Loss, Meditation, Stress.
Treating PTSD in Ipswich
There is NO one technique that can help everyone, but I have found the Rewind Technique to be the most reliable and comfortable way to lift the vast majority of phobias and a safe and highly effective psychological method for de-traumatising people.
